Scarce postings and vacation notice March 21, 2007

For those of you checking in here on a regular basis, just a quick note to let you know I’m on vacation starting next week and won’t return until April 4th. Postings will be scarce up until I leave as I prepare to head out of town (Gotta pay the piper before you leave and when you get back!) and non-existant while I’m gone.

Well, I find myself stuck in a Philadelphia hotel after being delayed by the freak ice storm that hit here yesterday. Luckily I got a hotel room, got a rebooked flight and didn’t have to spend the night sleeping on the floor at the airport with my travel plans up in the air.
So in honor of my predicament I give you an extra inspired by my circumstances.

At times he seems to favor Eric, but has recently put his troubles with Jake behind. A veteran of the Army Rangers serving in Vietnam, Johnson is a strong, moral and disciplined man.

One of the first things that drew my interest when I came upon the Savage Worlds scene was The Ravaged Earth Society by Double G Press. I’m a huge pulp fan and from what I’ve read about it this setting is right up my alley, but will it ever see the light of day?

The Torva Peto, or Savage Seekers, campaign has a vast array of influences contributing to its theme. The overall genre is what I call high flying pulp. High flying for the over-the-top action that personifies Fast! Furious! Fun! that I hope to inject in the game and the pulp for the pulp magazines prevalent in 1930’s that I draw inspiration from.

Another Jericho Savaging today, good ol’ boy Stanley Richmond. Kind of plain vanilla, but some interesting possibilities are there given his “mystery” five years.
