Savage Community February 28, 2007

Being a recent convert from the d20 system I notice a drastic difference in the size and activity betweens its community and Savage World’s. Of course I realize that the D&D name and game contribute to the vast majority of those in the d20 community.
After having a lightbulb smacked across my head after reading Savage Worlds I wonder what took me so long to find this wonderful game, but now I find myself clamoring for more online support and interaction. I can check ENWorld for new messages every hour or two and there will always be tons of new ones to wade through. However the Pinnacle forums don’t get nearly as much traffic. Why is that? Is the fan-base size that drastically different?
I’ve started to read back messages and get involved in the online community. Perhaps I’m just too used to the vast number of messages in the d20 community and need to look more at the quality and usefulness of what’s out there for Savage Worlds instead.
I’ve put most of the Savage Worlds locations I’ve checked out in the sidebar of this blog. If you know of any prominent ones that I’m missing, please share them.
